Minnetonka, MN (June 17, 2013)—Alerus Financial has been named one of the Top Workplaces in Minnesota based on an employee-based survey project from the Star Tribune.
Annually, Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions about organizational health, job expectations, and employee engagement. The analysis included responses from over 64,300 employees at nearly 1,900 Minnesota public, private, and nonprofit organizations.
“We are very proud to be recognized with this honor, especially because our employees were the judges,” said Alerus President & CEO Randy Newman. “Employee engagement and appreciation is an important component of our growth strategy, and we continue to be successful in attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.”
Alerus Financial currently employs 230 employees in the Twin Cities through three banking locations in Minnetonka, Oakdale, and Maplewood, MN; a retirement advisory services company operating as Alerus Retirement Solutions in Arden Hills, MN; a mortgage services company operating as Alerus Mortgage in Minnetonka and Arden Hills, MN; and an asset management and retirement plan consulting company operating as Alerus Investment Advisors in Minnetonka, MN.
2013 marks Alerus’ 4th year being named to the Star Tribune’s Top Work Places list. Alerus Financial was named to the Top Workplaces in 2012, and a Top 100 Workplace in 2011. In 2010, Alerus Mortgage (formerly RMG, A Division of Alerus Financial) was named to the Top 100 Workplaces, in addition to receiving a special “Ethics and Values” award by Star Tribune.
