Climate Control believes smart energy is intelligent business. Founded in 1993 by Dennis and Sonja Swangler, the company has prudently expanded on its original vision of bringing a new line of temperature controls to the area as well as providing local architects, engineers and end-users more personal service and support. In addition, today the company also provides building automation, system integration, energy management, and security and access services.

The company’s ultimate goal is to identify and resolve facility issues and energy inefficiencies so that its customers can realize a savings on their utility bills and mechanical equipment. Climate Control’s staff, with more than 100 years of combined industry experience, has a sincere commitment to providing the utmost in customer service.

Situation

The Swanglers have been doing business with Alerus Financial “forever,” says Dennis, who serves as president of Climate Control. “Our families and Alerus go way back,” he says. “Our relationship is a tradition, so to speak.”
 
It was a natural progression, then, for Dennis and Sonja to work with Alerus when they started Climate Control.
